The Question is: What Does Embalming Do To A Body?
And more specifically: What Does Embalming Do To A Loved One?
Embalming is a Temporary Preservative, like Nitrates in your Sausage.
It will last for the Viewing of a Body but not much longer.
It is done only to Showcase the Face & Hands.
Embalming puts Horrible Things inside the Body:
- Phenol-soaked cotton pushed into anus & vagina
- Gallons of Formalin (a cocktail of formaldehyde, methanol, phenol & pink dye)
- Superglue
- Duct Tape
- Caulk Putty
A Trocar (2 foot long metal arrow) connected to a Shop-Vac driven into the abdomen and vacuumed out.
Formaldehyde, the Main Ingredient in Formalin, is a Cancer-Causing Carcinogen per OSHA (Occupational Safety & Health Administration). It is classified a “Hazardous Waste” by the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency).

And most importantly, know that: Embalming Is Not Required By Any Law. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.

Now I know when I worked at a funeral home why I was never permitted in the embalming room.
Omg the things they do to a body! If in a car accident will they do it after the person dies with or less without permission
